About Us

Karen Frank is a woman on a mission – to change the way the world does networking and marketing forever.  A product of the “corporate world” Karen’s entrepreneurial spirit led her to start her own business in 2003 when she began creating elevator speeches and presentation scripts. She soon discovered that many of her corporate copywriting experiences translated beautifully to creating marketing copy as well.  

Although her first love is writing, Karen discovered that the most effective way to help her clients make more money was to get them involved in the process, and so she began teaching workshops and providing private consultations. Since that time hundreds of entrepreneurs have learned how to talk about their businesses in a way that engages potential clients and alliances (rather than making them want to run away).   

Her clients most appreciate her expertise with networking strategies, her ability to translate what businesses do into what buyers want to buy, and her infectious sense of humor. 

In addition to being the Founder of 3 E Communications, Karen is Co-Regional Director for the San Francisco Bay Area Region of ABRA (Affinity Business Referral Association) and was recently appointed Operations Manager. ABRA’s 21^st century, cutting edge approach to networking supports groups of entrepreneurs who meet regularly and use masterminding and technology to help each other build their businesses.  

Karen’s hobbies include wine tasting, reading, antiques, and organic gardening and one day she will ‘retire’ to an organic “gentleman’s farm.” She lives in Pleasant Hill with her husband Marshall, son Stephen - a future NHL goalie, and an assortment of goldfish and various pets.
